Meeting began with the Serenity Prayer...

Cliff W: Conference was a success. He received no negative remarks. Teres W. from Pine Mountain did a great job in providing all necessities, including setup. On our website there’s a link on the archives page to the 2009 Spring Conference (Worksheet, notes from all our meetings, pamphlet, etc) that will remain visible..

Bruce: One issue that we had was reimbursement … Bruce had one formal request …"If possible, could I have my $$ back?" John: Most conferences don’t give refunds. Bruce proposes no and it was seconded. Vote: 11 voted "no refund" and one (1) vote was dissenting.

Total of 245 people registered. Total amount from conference was $10,887.50; expenditures were $9,779.72. (This included 63 gallons of coffee! $1,134.00 …. Wow! And $25.00 spent for a plate of sub sandwiches on Saturday night that was agreed between Cliff and Teres displayed at the dance). Seed money ($1,000.00) returned to Area 74. Pizza & pop for our post-conference party was $63.01 & we will give a tip. (Total $70.00) After pizza we’ll have $1,037.78. Cliff makes a motion to split the balance 50:50 Area 74 & District 17 ($518.89 each). This was seconded and unanimously accepted. Once all checks are cashed, the district 17 treasurer Bruce L will close the books and present a final financial report, itemized.

Debbie: One complaint from several people was there was no coffee or dessert served at the buffet. For $25.00 there should have been dessert & coffee served at the table.

Thanks to Jen J for all the computer work. Also, (if there is a) NEXT time, the planning committee should have an hour stand-alone meeting rather than a short meeting prior to a monthly GSR district meeting. ALSO, John R apologizes for the way the Hot Potato meeting was handled on Friday night.
