District 17 Newsletter
The district monthly GSR meeting was held Monday, November 28th, 2016 at the Iron Mountain, Mi. Alano Club. In attendance were: Bruce L., John R., Dave G., Bruce T., Cindy S., Norm F., Jim B., Dave M., Matt S., Armand B., Debbie G., James B., and Linda P. (total 13)
The next meeting is scheduled for December 26th, 2016 at 6:00pm at the Alano Club.
DCM Report:
· Bruce reported that there are limited hotels in Munising for the Area 74 Spring Conference in May of 2017. Please plan accordingly.
· Reminded GSR’s to check on Alano Club GSR volunteers
DCM report was motioned and accepted.
Secretary Report:
· Linda P. will be in and out of town and is not sure of District meeting attendance in the next few months.
· Bruce T. will help cover in her absence.

Financial Report:

· Dave G. reminded that there are two Big Books in case a group runs out.

Corrections Report:
· Debbie G. reported that the women’s correction meetings schedule is in place for the next four months.
· Jim B. reported that another male volunteer is need for the Dickinson Co. Corrections meetings. Also reported that the Omega House is happy with the Alano Club location for ease of meetings.
· James B. reported that Florence Co. Corrections meeting were also running smoothly.

WEBMASTER REPORT:
Have continued being active to keep the district 17 website updated as well as the website at Hostek Web Host site for District 17. This has been performed in my home office. The New Hope Group of Iron Mountain has coffee stored in district office for correction chairs.
· On Wednesday, November 9 along with Jerry P met at district office to perform computer maintenance. Failed to remove excesses duplicate files and at Walmart purchased external hard drive at a cost $57.24 to be attached to district office computer.
· On Monday, November 28 missed GSR monthly meeting at 6 p.m. because of other commitments.
· The District 17 Office has _300_ meeting cards in drawer.
· The 0900 AA Hotline registered _18_ calls in the past month including _2_ calls with option 8 and _7_ calls with no option pressed as of 11-28-16.
· The District website recorded _109_ hits in the past month with the counter at 15,366 total hits as of 11-28-16.
· Any member of the fellowship with sobriety can become a contact on the option #8 contact listing for a 3-month period. This listing should periodically be updated, especially for those who are about to take a 3-month turn with their listing on option #8.
As a regular monthly reminder,
must train people (female/male) the operation as coordinator of the 0900 AA
Hotline and as webmaster of the district website. Anyone interested in
getting involved with being webmaster or coordinator for 0900 AA Hotline
please contact a District 17 committee member, or show up at the monthly GSR
district meeting the last Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at District 17
Office at Alano Club Iron Mountain.

· Still need extra District 17 office keys.
· The pamphlet for our local doctors office was revisited and Bruce T. will try to get cost and have them printed shortly.
