WEBMASTER REPORT:

Have continued being active to keep the district 17 website updated as well as the website at Hostek Web Host site for District 17.  This has been performed in my home office where this month I worked on putting together a broken down computer tower to transport to the District Office.

·        On Wednesday, February 17, reported to district office with operating repaired computer tower.  I spent several hours in set up with our slow line connection with no progress in getting the 0900 AA Hotline up.

·        With a few days meditating with my Higher Power on February 23, I returned back to district office with high hopes to only be discouraged from getting the AA 0900 Hotline back on line.  After transferring the EZVoice software from external Hard Drive to the computer Hard Drive I found that the damage to software was apparently permanent.  I deleted the EZVoice software from our district office.  I then with our slow line connection log in to EZVoice software home base and reloaded the software back onto our Hard Drive.  Then with my fingers and toes crossed and a prayer to my Higher Power I entered our License Agreement Number and BINGO!  It worked.  However, the new uploaded EZVoice software would not accept a recorded message.

·        On Monday, February 27 reported to district office to update Webmaster Report and attend the monthly GSR meeting at 6:00 p.m.

·        The District 17 Office has _200_ meeting cards in drawer.

·        The 0900 AA Hotline registered ___0____ calls for the 3rd complete month.

·        The District website recorded _118_ hits in the past month with the counter at 15,905 total hits as of 2-27-17.

Any member of the fellowship with sobriety can become a contact on the option #8 contact listing for a 3-month period.  This listing should periodically be updated, especially for those who are about to take a 3-month turn with their listing on option #8.

As a regular monthly reminder, must train people (female/male) the operation as coordinator of the 0900 AA Hotline and as webmaster of the district website.  Anyone interested in getting involved with being webmaster or coordinator for 0900 AA Hotline please contact a District 17 committee member, or show up at the monthly GSR district meeting the last Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at District 17 Office at Alano Club Iron Mountain.

Living my life 1-day at a time,

     Cliff W.

·        Cliff W. reported that the District is now in serious need of a new computer. The hotline has now been down for three months. After lengthy discussion, Bruce L. and Dan I. volunteered to help and donate computer components and time to bring the system back up. John R. expressed the question of whether or not it was time to just purchase a new computer. Debbie G. suggested that the District try one more time, (This Week) to fix the issue and then take a special vote for a new computer if the situation cannot be resolved. Motion was made and unanimously accepted.

Webmaster Report was motioned and accepted.

Old Business:

·        No report on new meeting cards.

Intergroup:

·        Debbie G. reported that donations for the IG are doing good and that the planning is in full swing. Food Sign-Up sheets are out and she asked that people try to prepare items for approx. 125 people. A new coffee maker is needed for IG.

·        Motion for the District/Intergroup to purchase a new IG coffee maker was made and unanimously accepted.

·        Debbie stated that a volunteer list was not needed at this time.

New Business:

·        Brian D. will be starting a new meeting: Saturday Night Serenity Group. This will be an open meeting at the IM VAMC (third floor) at 7pm. He will be acting GSR until one is elected.

·        Jeff would like to start A.A. and N.A meetings at the Crystal Lake Community Center. He stated that the CLCC will let us hold meetings (rent free) 4pm - ? Jeff is looking for consul as to all facets of starting a meeting. Richard stated that the Alano Club may be able to help donate a Coffee Pot.

·        Richard suggested that all groups incorporate more Big Book and 12X12 use. John R. gave some insight as to how the IR/CF meetings are Alive and Well using a structured Big Book and 12X12 format.

·        Linda suggested that GSR’s continue to express the need for Recovery through Service.

·        Congrats to Dan I. for becoming the new, much needed, GSR of the IM Early Bird Group

Motion to adjourn and meeting was closed with the Lord’s Prayer.

When anyone anywhere reaches out I want the hand of AA always to be there and for that I am responsible.
