District 17 GSR meeting

 

The monthly GSR meeting was held October 29, 2018 at the Iron Mountain, Mi. Alano Club. In attendance were: Angie Z, Larry L, Melissa H, Cindy S, Jerry P, Debbie G, Patty R, Dave G, Bill D, Vicky, Dave M, DeVona, Don L, Karen K, Jim B, Brian D.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for    at 6:00pm at the Alano Club.

 

Secretary Report: Angie Z.

The CPC was cancelled D.20 on November 3. And please talk one at a time so I can hear and make minutes better. The next Intergroup is November 10,2018 at Ishpeming.

Just excepting a Donation of $100 dollars cash from the Let it Go group in Iron River

Corrections Report: Debbie G., Jim B., Dan I.

Debbie G: Been having good turn out with the girls. Schedule is done through Dec. We could always use coffee. And Books, soft cover, Meditations Books. VA is very generous with Donations with coffee. Ask your meetings for books and coffee.

Karen K: Any old Grapevines.

Bill D: See about getting LG. print BB?

Brian: How many cans a month do you  use?

Jim B: 1 can a month, There’s 2 in the back and I’ve got 3 more that have been donated.

DeVona: I’m the New treasurer of the New Hope group. We would be looking to donate some coffee to corrections.

Dave M: I’ve got several Books to donate, who do I get hold of? Cindy S. or Jim.

Jim B: We can always use Books too. We lost a volunteer, Bob. Ask your groups for ANOTHER VOLUNTEER. 2 yr Sobriety, and get hold of Jim B.

Larry L: What night….Wed. and What time…..8pm.

Jerry: I’ve got a key for the locked door, for coffee or books, I’ve had it since I was webmaster. So I think it would be better use if Jim B had the key. So I’m turning the key to him now.

Don’t forget the AA Hotline meeting at the Alano club Nov. 3, 2018

Hotline Workshop

 

PI committee: Angie Z., Bill D. and Patty R.

Angie Z: We were able to put a BB and a 12 x 12 and meeting cards in the Iron River library.

WED- we are putting the AA rack at the Chamber of Commerce in Iron River, also on WED- we are putting a BB and 12 x 12 in the High School Library. I’ve called the Admin. fr the Iron River Hosp. and have been waiting for a call back. Put pamphlets and meeting cards  at the Ford airport. At Angeli’s I was able to put meetings cards on the corkboard. I ordered the AA display.  WE NED TO ORDER: Books, Pamphlets, Business cards with our HOTLINE # on it and our WEBSITE.

Patty R: At the IM Medical center….Patty has been talking to them , should have an answer tomorrow, so we can put Literature for AA in the Center.

Bill D: We’ve been going through meeting cards and pamphlets in the Iron Mountain library. I need to pick up some more pamphlets.

DCM Report: Cindy S.- I went to the Assembly last week, called to Dean, and he said get a hold of him he has lost too Donate for the PI committee. December 14, 2018 @ the Senior Center /@ 9 am Our Area is having a Sharing Session , to anybody in AA. What do you feel is /is not working in the Area.

I’m also asking for a motion to give the PI committee $250 to help with literature/ racks, Pamphlets, cards

I also make another motion to give $100 for Corrections for books/meditations.

At the last Assembly our Area has finally voted on the matter of ….to accept WIKIPAA donates and the vote was YES. Jeff Campbell, to help with the ELECTRONIC Now& Then. If you have any concerns or get more the one Now&Then. And our meetings cards should be here by next District meeting , which is November 26,2018.

Larry L: If we go in bulk of 12/24 , I have looked at racks On Amazon. A little cheaper than our AA racks we order. $25 vs $18 ?

Bill D: I found some racks at Shopko, $17, and I think I will pick a few up. They look nice and presentable.

Brian: I will ask the High School Shop teacher , for help from the kids making us wooden racks.
