District 17 GSR meeting
The monthly GSR meeting was held March 25, 2018 at the Iron Mountain, Mi. Alano Club. In attendance were: Angie Z, Larry L, Vicky G, Dave G, Melissa H, Dave M, Jim B, Dan I, Rick A, Karen K, Brian, Bruce, Don L.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 29,2019 at 6:00pm at the Alano Club.

Deb: Emailed Larry, her report …and all is good with the woman’s jails meetings .
Jim B: March 2 I took the last containers coffee. There is NO MORE.
Larry L: The D.17 gave me 200 for books, Unfortunately, Norm had no books to be sold. Every book was taken. So I gave Gloria O. the 200 for our books, she will get a hold of Norm ,our Literature Chair. The books ARE COMING.
Dan I: We need more Donations from District, and groups for Corrections/Jails. We have NO BOOKS in Florence.
Brian: Let’s use our brains, and ask our groups to help carry the message, with Literature and coffee???
Karen K: The woman’s group got their Literature . The woman’s jails meetings, does have some books.
Melissa H: I’m confused. The New Hope Group donates a lot for books and coffee. So they go through the books that fast?
Angie Z: I had spoke to Gale the WI Corrections Chair at the Delegate Worshop. She gave me the name / # of a person that can maybe help with our dilemma on Books in our Area. I gave Jim B. the Name / # of this person. The county jail , somehow buys the books through AA…….i don’t know. But…..I think it worth the call. To see if this process can HELP us with Books for Corrections.
Don: What’s wrong with the way we have it??....Leave it Alone.
Brian: Why is there only one group donating for Corrections?
Larry L: I’m Very Grateful for our New Hope Group and Every thing this group does for our District.
Melissa H: We , The New Hope group will donate 3 cans of coffee.
Vicky G: Just send $ to the District.
Larry L: GSR”S go ask our groups, what we can do as a group to HELP.

Dan I: Going good . We had a little glitch in the Hotline…..but everything is good now.

PI committee: Angie Z., Bill D. and Patty R.
Angie Z: How can the PI committee be more Self – supporting? I’ve ask this ? at the last intergroup, and no response. The only thing I thought of…..one make a Tradition meeting, for all those in Service. And We are asking the D.17 for $300 , for pamphlets and Literature to maintain our racks. I was able to give Dan I. all the places SO FAR, in our Community to Locate AA info.
Dan I: Suggest a budget to the District
Bruce L: Its time to maintain a good budget
Dave G: The PI turns in their receipts , and its in our Financial report.
Bruce L: PI needs to itemize how the money is spent.
Dan I: I think $250 for PI
Melissa H: $300 for PI, that’s what Angie asked for .
Dan I: PI is a New committee, the amounts of books/pamphlets and literature , the will need, keep asking for donations . We can’t budget ….what we don’t have yet. I make a motion for the $300 for PI.

Update on Intergroup, sign-up sheets have been given to our groups in Iron Mountain. We always need help with set-up/ clean-up. Karen will be at the church at 9 am April 13, the food will be there no later than noon. If you have 2 weeks or less you can bring chips……EVERYBODY else who is making a dish , make in to feed 10-12 people.
Larry L:
I’m in Kiwanis, we had a big event , that turn south on us. The food Kiwanis had brought, was donated to Larry. He is donating the food to us. Brats, Hot dogs , burgers, chili. And all the pop too. Nachos and popcorn appetizers , also donated to our intergroup.
Karen K: Instead of charging for our sodas /water , we are going to put a “Donation Bucket” out on the table. We are doing pretty good, take it to your groups. I would like to invite the N/A people to come, since it is an Open meeting.
Vicky G: I go to some N/A meetings , I can take a flyer to them
