District 17 Monthly Meeting
The monthly District meeting was held October 28, 2019 at the Iron Mountain, Mi. Alano Club. In attendance were: Larry L, Angie Z, Cindy S, Karen K, Don L, Brian H, Dave M, Bruce L, Penny, Lollie B, Debbie G, Vicky G, Brian D.
The next meeting is scheduled for November 25, 2019 at 6:00pm at the Alano Club.
Secretary Report: Angie Z.-Passed out flyers, Here are the flyers we picked up for our Assembly in Three Lakes. And Penny is here today , we table her election for this district meeting, in Old Business.
Bruce L- When did we stop have committee reports, sent to the secretary?

Larry L-I really like having the comm.. reports sent to the secretary.
Cindy S-I think this is a good idea
Angie Z- I will get together flash drives, for our New upcoming secretary, and for our Archives in our office.

Larry L- Randville is donating 30$ to the District….Karen k. is going to take the Check from Larry L. and give it to Dave G. Thank you Randville

Corrections Report: Debbie G., Jim B., Dan I.
Debbie G- Schedule is done through the Dec. Linda is taking a break , to help care for her Dad. And Pam T is doing well.
Karen K- We put an order in , for our books, from the literature chair….unfortunately…he did not bring enough to fill our order. He will bring in to our next Ass. In Three Lakes, WI on Dec. 12, 2019. Right now there is a good amount of literature. And the girls , who have books…use them.
Larry L- Jim B. regrets that he is stepping down from Corrections chair in District 17, We are asking Men for Corrections. Take it back to your groups and started spreading the news.
Debbie G- I HUGE Thank you to Jim B , for Many years of Service. From all of Us, for all your hard work. You always keep it simple, when carrying the message. THANK YOU
Karen K- Men will have to go through a Security check. There is a process for any man to go through.
Larry L- Sobriety time…2 yr. suggested

Cindy S- We need a new Webmaster. Bring it back to your groups, and see if anybody can help with this service

PI committee: Angie Z.
Angie Z: We need help with the PI, its just me. It’s a “WE” program. Our PI committee needs more people to help carry the message to the suffer alcoholic. Vicky G said she will come back. Thank you Patty for all you did with our PI. Patty had to step down. And Bill d, has been out of commission, for at least 6m.
Take it back to your groups and ask ….is anyone willing to help PI?
Lollie B- Where are we at in Iron River?

DCM Report: Cindy S.- In our District Karen K is our New upcoming 2020, Area U.P. Corrections and Angie Z. is our New upcoming 2020 Area Secretary.
Larry L- Brought back flyers and info. From our Assembly.

Old Business:
We table our Secretary position/election, until Penny was here to accept/decline the offer.
Angie Z- Penny to you accept the Secretary position . Penny accepted. There are 10 voting, Cindy S ask for those in favor……A Unanimous vote for Penny, is our New District 17 Secretary.

Lollie B-Is the Alano club asking for Money??
Vicky- We are asking for donations to help keep the doors open!!
Karen K-I don’t think we use our AA money to help with the Alano club.
Cindy S- I will be ordering New Cards
Lollie B-AA Meeting Guide App, It is Amazing, Check it out.
Larry L-I am keeping Jim B. Key for the office.
Dave M-Next meeting lets discuss ALS, taping/filming for the ALS speaker
