| The District monthly GSR
meeting was held on Wednesday, September 26th at the Alano Club
in Iron River. In attendance was Cliff W, Dennis S, Libby P,
Laura K, and Van. Our DCM, Steve S was unable to attend as he
was out of town. Jennifer J, Bruce L, Marian H, and Gordy P all
had made other plans for this day as explained by Cliff W. The meeting opened with the Serenity Prayer. Corrections: Chairperson of corrections, Dennis S stated that Dickinson County Corrections is still in search of anther woman AA to help out with meetings. He also requested books (six pocket AA and six 12 by 12) for the ladies corrections of Iron River. Financial: See financial report provided by Cliff W. FINANCIAL REPORT The UP Service Workshop - The UP Service Workshop is to be held at the Masonic Lodge in Kingsford on Saturday, September 29th starting at 10 a.m. Cliff W stated that the following e-mail was sent out earlier in the day as reminder. The UP Service Workshop to be held in Kingsford on Saturday at 10 a.m. September 29, 2007 at the Masonic Lodge 300 S. Carpenter Ave (M-95). Doors will be open at 9 a.m. for donuts & coffee. The Presenters will be: Dodie A. our alternate Delegate Jeff C. our Delegate Bob M. our East Central Regional Trustee All funds receive/distributed for this Service Workshop will be handled by District 17 treasurer, Cliff W. in accordance with the District 17 account (checking) under a sub-title 'UP Service Workshop 2007' to cover for the rental, coffee, donuts, lunch, etc. (A donation basket will be on hand). The Eastern Star (Mason Women Auxiliary) will provide a lunch consisting of hot beef sandwiches, potato salad, macaroni salad at $5 a plate to be served at 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (Please plan on eating at the Lodge so we will be on schedule with the presentations).
