A.A. Area74, District 17 Corrections Report - December, 2007

12/4/07 Stopped by Camille's to check in with her, she wanted to meet Bonnie. So after visit and purchases were gift wrapped (she takes care of her customers - plug, plug), I went to Bonnie's store and had a chat. Bonnie said she would get over first chance to personally meet.

12/14/07 Stopped by Dickinson Correctional Center and dropped off card from all of us that chair the meetings and also my last can of coffee. I had also talked to our Little Betty from Early Friday Night A.A. Meeting and she said she would get another can for us.

12/17/07 As of this writing I am planning on asking Early Monday Night A.A. Meeting in Iron Mountain if they would sponsor coffee needs with at least 3 cans donation per year. Pretty sure this group will be supportive as they always have been.

HELP WANTED !! Still looking for help, needs as follows; another woman for the Dickinson County Women’s Corrections A.A. Meeting on Wednesday 7:00 P.M., Some man to assist with the Florence County Men’s Corrections A.A. Meeting which is Thursday 7:00 P.M. Real need for some to restart the Iron County Men’s A.A. Corrections Meeting, this request has been made several times, with no interest shown what so ever. Lastly, we could use one more person to help with the Dickinson County Men’s A.A. Corrections Meeting.

If interested please contact me at 906-563-9003, leave a number & message.

In closing; I have come to the end of another term as corrections chair for our district. It has been like all service work - a sacrifice of time and personal resources, at times a head ache and also a heart-ache. At present there is the sense of achievement and some personal growth, but most importantly a growing of my own relationship with the God of my understanding. I will continue in my recovery trying as always to carry the message we have to offer to the alcoholic that still suffers. "Nothing insures immunity from relapse as much as service does..."

Thank You to all for your loyal support and sharing, as well as this chance to serve.

God Bless and keep you, Dennis, Corrections
