The District monthly GSR meeting was held on Tuesday, February 26th at the new District 17 Central Office, located in the old Re-Entry house, 373 Woodward Ave. in Kingsford. In attendance were Cliff W., Dennis S., Kevin M., Bruce L., Jennifer J., Anne A., Bonnie L., & Joanne B.

First, we’re missing our coffee pot, & we need it back! Thanks!

Corrections: I haven’t received Dennis’s corrections report yet, but perhaps Steve will be able to insert it.

Financial: See financial report on the following page provided our District 17 Treasurer, Bruce L.

Intergroup: Our third Intergroup meeting was held prior to the district meeting, & the committees have made their shopping lists. Our Intergroup will be held April 19th, at the Knights of Columbus Hall (PLEASE NOTE THE DATE CHANGE, as well as the location!). Please attend our next Intergroup planning meeting on Tuesday, March 25th, @ 5:00 CST at the Central District Office. You may also contact Jen J. (906)-396-2668 or Angie W. (906)-774-1642 for more information. Please print the attached flyer, & bring to any meetings that you attend.

***We are the only group this year that will have a dance associated with our Intergroup, & really have to advertise this fact to make up for the exorbitant price of a D.J.!

2009 Spring Conference: The established dates for the 2009 Area 74 spring conference are 15th, 16th, & 17th of May 2009. The place is at Pine Mountain Resort in Iron Mountain. Our next order of business will be to request the seed money at the Spring Assembly. Then, we’ll need to establish a P.O. Box, as well as a bank account. The next planning meeting will be held in conjunction with the District 17 GSR meeting on March 25th, 2008. We need help from AA's in all of District 17. If you have been waiting for something awesome to volunteer on for service work, this is it. Please get involved. We only have 1 year & 2 months to plan, & lots to do. New business: We have ~ 50 to 100 meeting cards left, & will need to print more soon. Any meeting cancellations or time changes will need to be made before the next district meeting. (See date above & below). The request was made to increase the print size for those who have difficulty with the small print. Cliff will look into the cost of that.

The next new business involved the on-going production of our district 17 computer. The computer is currently living in the District 17 office, but is not yet hooked up to the Internet.
