A.A. Area 74, District 17 Corrections Report
I apologize for not having a written report for the past three months. I got a new laptop and am on a long learning curve with it, the internet, and other things. I am getting over a cold that has lasted weeks.
My last report Bob P. was cleared and had gone in with me. Happy to report Jamie O. was finally cleared to do the women’s corrections meeting in Dickinson Co. I have also tried to contact Camille, leaving messages with no avail. There are three women to do this meeting and one is a substitute, so could use two more women if interested.
Last contact with gang from Iron Co. three months ago all was well and nothing was needed. The Iron Co. men’s jail meeting is still vacant. It took me ten years before I got the courage to try corrections (it was more like the HP sticking me in the butt with a meat fork).
I wrote Area 74 Corrections Chairperson Larry T. about doing a workshop in the spring, perhaps at our Intergroup, still awaiting response.
I had received Daily Reflections from the Early Friday Night Meeting at the Masonic Temple in Kingsford and split them up between the women’s and men’s Dickinson Co. meetings they have the groups name, location, and meeting time inside. I also brought in five and five pocket and full size paper back Big Books I had on hand, along with some N.A. material as we get both at corrections. I still have four cans of coffee on reserve.
I want to thank Bill A. and Bob P. for doing the men’s jail meeting the past three weeks, last place you want to be with any kind of a bug.
Respectfully and gratefully submitted;
Dennis S.(906) 563-9003
