The District monthly GSR meeting was held on Tuesday, December 30^{th at the District 17 Central Office, located at 373 Woodward Ave. in Kingsford. The meeting opened with the Serenity Prayer. In attendance were Cliff W, Bruce L, Kevin, James B, & Jen J.}

The 0900 number had 118 hits this month, with a possible 39 telemarketer calls. This means that 69 were legit. Cliff just updated the answering machine info, with the conference planning meeting info included.

Cliff has been manually updating the meeting cards … New cards will be updated to include the early-bird morning meetings at the Alano club (Mon, Tues, Thursday @ 7:00 AM) and Wed 5 PM 'Gratitude Meeting.' We’ still have 5-600 cards left. Contact a district officer if your group needs meeting cards. Our new batch will be printed in the spring (Before Intergroup & Conference)

Our district website had 125 hits this month …everything is current, having been recently updated by our webmaster (Cliff W.)

The District Central Office rent has been paid up for another 3 months through March 2009.

The printer that Bruce donated (Lexmark Z12) is hooked up, but we do not have any ink cartridges. Anyone want to donate a black/white &/or color cartridge?

Our computer battery back-up works!! Kingsford must’ve had a power failure (message popped up on the computer screen of battery activation).

Our conference flyer and our district meeting times/dates were included in the December Area74 “Now & Then." DCM Cliff W. had met co-editors Greg & Brian at the Area74 Committee Meeting held in December in Appleton, WI.

New business: Time to start planning our April Intergroup! The first Intergroup planning meeting will be held Jan 27th 6:00 PM, at District Central Office, immediately prior to the District GSR meeting. Angie is the Chairperson (She has confirmed that the K of C in Kingsford is booked for the second Sat of April). We need lots of help with this event, so please plan to attend.

The next Intergroup is in Ishpeming at St Joe’s on Saturday, Jan 10th, 2008 5, 6, 7 EST. No dance this year, but always a good time.

There will be a special assembly held Sat Jan 3rd Three Lakes, WI. … If Cliffs heath is O.K. He’ll attend … If not he’ll email a conference report & DCM report to Terry McKay (Alt Delegate). James is considering chauffeuring Cliff (and any other interested persons??) this month.

Our district has no Public Information committee or Archivist, & we are in need of both. If you are interested in either of these positions, PLEASE come to our next District meeting & we can discuss the responsibilities involved. Our archive currently consists of a drawer in our district office, and there is a 2008 drawer which has updated forms, meeting list, & directory, etc.
