A.A. Area74, District 17 Corrections Report  5/25/09

 

Terry M.  will be leaving the Florence County Correctional Center meeting for a indefinite period.  Harry S. had said he would talk to Terry about himself doing this meeting, but to date have no confirmation of such.

 

Debbie once again approached me about doing the women's correctional A.A. meeting for Dickinson Co., she now has over twenty months and I feel as long as she makes this her only commitment in service work for the next year....she should be okay.  My major concern is burn out because she will be alone after we do three meetings together.  Next week I will work on getting her cleared by the Sheriffs' Department.

 

Keith K. talked to me about the possibility of Camp Ottowa being closed due to state budget cuts - which is still on the table - and if such were to happen he would then be able to do the Iron County Mens' A.A. Correctional meeting.  He could not speak for his fellows that do the Camp Ottowa meeting.

Keith is a great mentor and has been a great support for me in this position.

 

Help Wanted!  The District is still looking for volunteers for correctional center meetings in the following;  Dickinson County Women's AA meeting,  Iron County Mens'  AA meeting, and Florence County Mens' AA meeting.  If you think you maybe interested about these meetings please do feel free to call me and talk to me about them, this past year I have talked to a few whom have shown some interest but could not commit which was very okay for both of us...I personally was happy to have had the discussion.   CONTACT ME AT NUMBER BELOW!!
