Corrections Report: Special thank you to Kevin M. for getting Pete from Niagara cleared to do the Florence meeting with him. I talked to Pete & he thinks it will be a good experience for his program growth. All meetings in our district could use more involvement from members.  Everyone says after the fear of doing subsides it really is a fulfilling experience. We could use a dozen more small soft cover Big Books for Dickinson County, as both men & women use them now - the women is going good . The small ones are best even though they are not what AA is about, I have been told, yet World Services sells them from their catalog. Pick, pick. I will be bringing a can of coffee in tonight & that leaves me six in reserve. Respectfully submitted; Dennis S.

DCM report: At the Area74 Fall Assembly held in Three Lakes, WI there were two items of interest recorded in the minutes that can be also viewed on our website at district17a74.org. On the second weekend of March 2010 (Saturday, March 13) a Delegate’s Workshop is slated to be held at the United Methodist Church in Marquette, MI. More info forthcoming. A bid made to hold the 2010 Area 74 Fall Conference at the Terrance Bay Resort in Gladstone, MI was discussed. A motion was carried & District19 will follow up on this motion. District17 would like to welcome new GSR’s 1) Libby P. Reinstated Iron River evening Group Alano Club, Iron River; 2) Betty S. Early Fri Nite Group Masonic Temple, Kingsford; 3) Debbie G. Tues Night Step Meeting Trinity United Methodist Church, Iron Mountain; 4) Erica H. Early Bird Group Alano Club, Iron Mountain. This past month Joe L received training on working with Hostek.com our website Host provider. Removed DCM Cliff W. Debit card information & replaced with new information of District17 debit card associated with their checking account. District17 has now an official e-mail address with the hostess Hostek.com (Smartermail Professional 4.3). All e-mails for District17 can be sent to: dcm@district17a74.org which is the administrator. Who will read the emails for district 17 (DCM@district17a74.org)? The password will have to given out to any committee member that will be accessing the computer.

District17 received new batch of Fall edition 2009 AA Meeting Cards made by Tech Graphic students of Kingsford with the color of lime-green. There was noted two mistakes made. Erica will help manually make corrections to the cards (On Monday, the Powers meeting is 7:00 PM rather than AM & the Norway meeting is at 7:00 PM not 8:00 PM & Both Friday & Saturday meetings at the Iron River Alano Club are now NON-smoking). The rest of the printed cards are good & the small print observed will be changed with a new order when requested. ***Should also consider adding Wheelchair accessible meetings to cards. Motion to send an extra twenty dollars for the kid’s pizza party to Graphics Dept.  Unanimously accepted. Jennifer will submit the bill when she receives it … should be ~ $80.00 for the 1,500 cards & 500 “So the Judge Sent You to AA …” pamphlets. Twice the past month our 0900 AA Hotline was off line. First, had removed the AVG virus program installed last month. Then decided that Microsoft automatic download updates of security that required a restart was the problem. Made corrected measures that are documented & located in the Central Office. No problem in the past three weeks. The used HP (Hewlett Packard) scanner/printer with no ink cartridges was added to our office computer using the inserted disc, however, on uploading & installing the office computer didn’t register or add the scanner/printer. Possibly, not compatible with the district computer.
