Webmaster/0900 Report:

As reported last month back on March 1, 2008 the 0900 AA Hotline went into service from the District17 Central Office in Kingsford, MI and through trial, errors, and corrections the AA Hotline has been a success to District 17 and the surrounding area that includes (DICKINSON & IRON COUNTIES IN MI. AND FLORENCE, PEMBINE & NIAGARA, WI).

As Hotline coordinator, I’ve been in the process of updating the Hotline Menu Option #8 Live A.A. Contact Listing.

The goal is to have contact persons available throughout the District close to anyone requesting help by region and this includes female and male participants. Everyone that are listed as a contact person are making a commitment to answer the calls whenever they may come 24/7.

I propose that the Contact Hotlist will work on a quarterly rotation of direct calling set by the DCM with no more than six #’s listed that will be installed by the Hotline Coordinator and also that all participants will have a copy of the contact listing for referrals by gender when required.

This was approved and DCM Bruce and coordinator Cliff will come out with a new list starting the month of April for three months.

LET IT BE UNDERSTOOD THAT AS A CONTACT PERSON, ONE WILL OPERATE AS IF THE YELLOW PAGES FOR ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS AND NOT JUST A HAND REACHING OUT.

The 0900 AA Hotline ___65____ hits, including ___15___ calls w/no option pressed.

The District website ___54___ hits the past month.    mailto:dcm@district17a74.org).

The HP (Hewlett Packard) PSC 1350 all-in-one Printer/Scanner is uploaded and installed onto our district computer. This month I surfed the HP website and was able to upload and install the updated driver and all updates. This took over 70 minutes to accomplish. The printer/scanner is in operation.

Two more keys were made for the District Central Office. A total of six (6) office keys are active including the one at the front desk of the Community Substance Abuse Office on the first floor.

A purchase of coffee was made for our monthly district meetings.

A purchase of the new Eastern Directory was made to World Services for the district office.
