As a regular monthly reminder, I must train people (female/male) the operation as coordinator of the 0900 AA Hotline and as webmaster of the district website.  DCM Report:

Went to inter-group GSR meeting in Ishpeming and the discussion centered around having a service meeting before an inter-group. It was suggested that this meeting be held at the Iron Mountain inter-group.  I informed them that the K of C hall that we use does not have room available for such a meeting. The bar room is too small and the main hall will be active with set up for the inter-group. I have been in contact with Ben Area CPC chair for AA present at the June 2011 conference of the National Rural Institute on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Have contacted Mike Area 74 Registry chair and set up the new Tuesday morning and evening meetings with new GSRs, these were meeting that were held at the old Iron River Alano Club that closed November 1, 2010. The 10Am And 7pm meetings will held at St Agnes School Building at 702 North 4th street, Iron River MI., and also the Friday 10am meeting will be moving to the same location, no contacts at present time. Tuesday am meeting will keep them informed on activity in the district. Local Newspaper listing will have to be corrected.

In Your Service,
Bruce L.

NEW BUSINESS:

1.)   It was brought up by Bruce L. the possibility of partnering s service workshop and Iron Mountain inter group on the same day.  After discussion it was decided that District did not want to host both on the same day.

2.)  Decision was made not to support the purchase of a new microphone headset.

When anyone anywhere reaches out I want the hand of AA always to be there and for that I am responsible.

Respectfully;

Nancy H.  Secretary Dist. 17
