 Corrections Report:

James B. has been going to the Florence Co. jail meetings and he said they’re going well usually with 5-7 attendees however he mentioned help is needed with these meetings if anyone would like to volunteer their time.

Debbie G. said women’s meetings are still going good but thought it would be beneficial for a “Daily Reflection” Daily Devotion (s) could be donated to the jails from groups that would be willing to make that donation.  Dennis S. made the suggestion that possibly the groups could donate some Daily Reflections and dedicate them to the inmates.

There was also some discussion as how to best address the issue of Ken W. not being available to attend the monthly District Meetings to represent “Corrections”.

As a regular monthly reminder, I must train people (female/male) the operation as coordinator of the 0900 AA Hotline and as webmaster of the district website. If interested in getting involved with being webmaster or coordinator for 0900 AA Hotline please call Cliff W at 906-779-0915, contact a District 17 Committee member, or show up at the monthly GSR district meeting the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at District 17 Office in Kingsford.

One other thing to mention is that my home computer hard drive has many District 17 and Area 74 files that I'll be emailing to the District 17 website for storage.

Discussion on Newsletter Committee on whether the co-editors should have one vote each at the assemblies or not (no action taken). This is also a discussion question for the co-chairs of the Corrections Committee.

Discussion on selection of past Delegates nominations for standing committee positions. Should all past delegates not all ready on a committee be asked to stand or decline and then ask for simple majority vote at the assembly?

Discussion on the Ad-Hoc report on the Area inventory. No action was taken vote to pass along to Structure Committee voted down.

Received copy of group contributions to GSO for 2009, which will not be published.
