Donations of coffee were donated to the jail meetings by Early Bird Monday Iron Mountain Meeting, Thursday Newcomers and by Vicky W.

Donations of 6 pocket size Big Books and 3 Spanish Big Books were also donated. Dennis wanted to thank all those that made these generous donations.

Webmaster Discussion 5/31/2011

Cliff said Carol H. will be taking over for him and commented that she seems to be catching on quickly.

Motion by John R. and passed that Steve S. research cost of new computer backup APC battery and bring cost to the meeting so we can revote if price is higher than previous maximum price we voted on and accepted.

Joanne B. made a motion that the DCM will have the key for the District Office beginning June 28, 2011 for an undetermined length of time due to Webmaster hospitalization. Motion accepted.

Webmaster/Coordinator Report 5/31/11:

On Monday, May 9 was at district office after a power outage that transpired during the night hours and had shut down the district computer. I discovered that the district computer actually shut down because of a serious error. The backup APC battery had operated during the power outage that transpired from 4 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. and lasted 30 minutes and 9 seconds according to the APC battery report. The APC power back-up was at present recharging back to full strength. Learned that the battery has the power to keep the computer operating up to 45 minutes and if a power outage should last longer, the computer will shut down. The next time the computer shuts down because of a serious error, must copy the report including error message code to what causes the serious error to shut down the computer.

The serious error causing the district computer to shut down has occurred a few times in 2011 is undetermined, however, the report does list a code in reference to the error. Notified Steve S that the APC power back up battery is good and during the call the battery completed recharging to 100% capacity. The $70 APC was purchased in August 2008.

On Tuesday, May 31 was at district office to add April Newsletter, the UP Intergroup May minutes, to record monthly updates, upload & install updates, and add the 5:30 p.m. open newcomers meeting on Thursday to 0900 AA Hotline menu.

OLD BUSINESS:
