Last District meeting Gordie P. volunteered for Florence Co. jail meetings and has since taken him in after making arrangements with James. He will start again this week after his eye surgery.

Mark G. was approved and has been doing Dickinson Co. meeting with me since the past district meeting. He has done corrections before and is really good with this meeting.

I contacted Florence Co. jail about Omar F. returning to do meeting on Thursdays as well. He will begin around August 11th.

Val is doing the women’s meeting in Florence.

We still have 4 cans of coffee in reserve at home; I will bring in next month. The Dickinson Co. meetings could use more books if groups are willing to donate.

There was a motion made and accepted that the District purchases 10 paperback Big Books for Dickinson Co. Jail meetings.

        Respectfully Submitted: Dennis S.

Had two telephone conferences over the last month with conversions on the expenses incurred by the districts to attend Area Conferences and had discussion on how the stop people from wasting time at the microphone on repeating matters that were already said and discussed . This has been taking up a lot of time and distracting the meeting. Went to the Area Committee meeting on the 16th in Three Lakes. With the majority of the discussion on the format on how committee meeting need to be run and motion was presented to change the way the Structure and Guidelines Committee is run. Area Committee Chairs will be up for election this fall at the Fall Conference in Hudson, Wi. Sept 16th-18th. Anyone with 2yrs plus can be chair holders.
