Corrections Report 01/31/2012:

This is a Corrections report for the month of January.  Dennis has 6 Big Books given by Cliff from the New Hope Group and wanted to know if we need them.  I told him we can always use books and literature and I will get them from him.  Everything else with the men is fine and Dennis also said there are 6 cans of coffee at present.  I checked with Val regarding the Florence women's meeting and she said all is well.  She said that they are more interested in NA but that the AA meeting seems to be filling their needs.  It is important to stress the fact that we are there for Alcoholics Anonymous.  I have finished a new schedule for 3 months for the Dickinson women's jail meetings.  Katie has had to take her name off the schedule until she can change her work schedule but has asked for the first Wednesday of the month to be off.  She will advise me of when this happens which should be in about one month.  We are covered with two women at each meeting through the next three months and Karen will be back on the schedule upon return in the spring.  There have been about 8-10 girls at each meeting and we highly advise that they get to a meeting the day they are released from jail.  There is hope that this will happen but have to be reminded that we are there to carry the message and it is up to them with the help of God to carry it out.

Respectfully submitted by Debbie G.

Debbie G. Would like to make contact with Jill in Iron County to touch base and share any input regarding the women’s jail meetings, in an effort to give support if needed. John R. offered to give Debbie’s phone number to Jill so contact can be made.

Report was read and motion made and accepted as presented.

Webmaster/Coordinator Report 01/31/2012:

On January 1, 2012 as 0900 AA Hotline coordinator was at district office to switch and change the option #8 contact list of 5 contacts for the 0900 AA Hotline, good for the next 3-months.

On January 4 reported to The Daily News office in Iron Mountain to update the AA meetings for the listing that’s printed in the newspaper.

Entering the New Year, the district owed $9 to the webmaster for the purchase of needed cords for the office new printer and Belkin wireless router. It is said to live and learn. The webmaster learned that the district did not need a new Belkin wireless router, however a Belkin wireless receiver for the wireless connection to the Internet. The webmaster will refund the $32.98 back to the district for the cost of the router purchased, minus $3 spent on a used USB cord for the printer, or a total of $29.98 refund.

In the month of January was unable to meet with Carol H for a training session on the job as webmaster and 0900 AA Hotline coordinator because of other commitments. As webmaster in the month of January did perform at home updates for the district 17 website, adding the December Newsletter, Intergroup minutes, and changing announcements, as unable still to get onto the Internet at district office.

On Tuesday, January 31 at district office to perform updates for the monthly webmaster report and to open the conference room downstairs for the district 17 monthly GSR meeting.

The District 17 Office has _1,600_ meeting cards in drawer.

The 0900 AA Hotline _83_hits, including _13_ calls w/no option pressed.

The District website _125_ hits the past month.

Any member of the fellowship with sobriety can become a contact on the option #8 contact listing for a 3-month period. This listing should periodically be updated, especially for those who are about to take a 3-month turn with their listing on option #8.
