CORRECTIONS REPORT
Per Debbie, everything is about the same as last month--has had a couple of women attending meetings regularly.
James is facilitating meetings in Florence County Jail. He currently has one person attending meetings.
Val stated that she calls Florence County every week and currently no one is interested in attended meetings. She as well brought up the matter of an individual who attended meetings regularly for 8 months while on the inside but relapsed with narcotics soon after her release--this being said--Val mentioned the possibility of looking for someone who can provide NA support and the matter was discussed. Per Debbie we cannot provide NA support but, as AA is essentially the same 12-Step program, will continue to provide AA support. Per Betty we do encourage NA to come to AA meetings as the same principle applies. It was decided to stay away from NA involvement and just provide AA--
Betty just received four daily Reflections from New Hope Group for women's jail.
Per Debbie will be taking a couple of months off from (AA jail meetings).

WEBMASTER REPORT

On Tuesday, July 23 at the district office to perform updates on webmaster/coordinator operation.

The computer continues to lack a sound card for the EZvoice3.4 software and unable to place the 0900 AA Hotline back on line.
During the month of July was able to update the district website at home base.
On Monday, July 29 at monthly district meeting at Alano Club and performed more updating for the Webmaster/Coordination report along with Ed B.

The District 17 Office has _700_meeting cards in drawer.
The 0900 AA Hotline had _0_hits the past month including a total of _0_ calls w/no option pressed

and __0__ calls option #8 pressed.
The District website _102_hits the past month.

Any member of the fellowship with sobriety can become a contact on the option #8 contact listing for a 3-month period. This listing should periodically be updated, especially for those who are about to take a 3-month turn with their listing on option #8. Email to:

Cliff W. (Webmaster/coordinator, District17)

Ed stated that the internet is up and running, however the 900 number with EZvoice still has some bugs to be worked out and if they cannot be worked out will try another option. As well, to get high a quality connection has purchased a cable modem for less than Charter could provide as well as a coaxial cable--this was a $ 30.00 one-time "fee" for parts.
Per Cliff: the district had already paid $90 rent payment for Jul-Sept. Now with the new agreement the district will pay the Alano club another $90 ($30 for modem & coaxial cord plus $60 3-month Jul-Sept for charter cable).
District's former three computers have been pared down (part-swapped) to one whole unit by Ed B.
Motion to accept made by Cliff, all in favor

PI/PCP REPORT

Per Debbie, the matter of 'getting someone interested' was mentioned.

In regards to AA outreach, Jaeme brought to her union HR the question of whether or not it would be ok to place AA-related literature on a bulletin board located at her employer. She was given the ok to do so by union HR. Per Debbie this is great outreach due to the amount of employees within the union. Jaeme was given literature to post on bulletin board. Literature was also taken by Val and others to take to jails as well.
DCM REPORT 07-29-13

Discussed whether Nancy will be continuing as secretary. Nancy needs to be contacted with regards to this. Per Cliff, everyone needs to make sure Mark is given what information, etc., he needs and reports can be sent to Mark.

Regards,  Mark S.

UPDATE: Receive the following message from Nancy on 08-06-13:  Hi Mark:
I was hoping they could get someone to take over because my work schedule hasn't permitted me to do this the way it should be done. So if you're willing to take it over that would be GREAT!!
