DCM REPORT:

Went to the October Area Assemble in Three Lakes and two items need to be noted. The first is that the Area minutes will be posted on the Area website (which I agree with), except it will be password protected. With that I voted against this Item, but it passed with no idea who or how the password will be sent out to district or how districts will give it out to members.
The second item was the approval of a budget overage for the pass Michigan Correction Chair of a hundred plus dollars for the setup of a web-site for correction Michigan. It passed with no question till I return and questioned why a web-site for the area was set up without the area knowing of it. Plus it has names, phone numbers, and address of members of AA. (U.P of Michigan Corrections Co-Chair.web.com). This will be on the agenda for the committee meeting in December.
At this time I wish to thank everybody for the opportunity to serve as DCM of District 17, for the past four years. It has been a great honor to server the District.
                     Bruce L. DCM
Let the Hand of AA always be there for new comer.

PI/CPC REPORT:

Per Jaeme, union wasn't doing anything in regard to making AA literature available, so she has been proactive on her own in making literature available.

NEW BUSINESS:
Bruce announced resignation as DCM.   District 17 is now with no DCM.

Bruce called for an "all in favor" for Betty S. as Treasurer and Mark S. as Secretary for the upcoming 2-year term.
Betty addressed the need for members to continue to announce and inform members of the fellowship as to the need for DCM volunteers.

It was agreed by committee that next monthly GSR meeting will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 and a happy holidays.

Meeting closed with Our Father.

Mark S., District 17 Sec
