Correction Report:

Florence County women’s meeting: Val has only gone into the jail a couple times due to the lack of women in jail. Pete is still going to the men’s meeting in Florence ( found out later that Gordie is going to). Brad says could use another person for the Dickinson county jail men's meeting. Debbie said women’s meeting is going good. It was asked to see if groups could donate small big books and Daily Reflections.

Web Master Report:

Have continued being active to keep the district 17 website updated as well as the website at Hostek Web Host site for District 17. This has been performed in my home office. While checking the district website mailbox, discovered it to be filled up with scam mail and not accepting further emails. Cleaned inbox and will have to keep in contact often.

On Monday, July 28 reported to district office to update the AA Hotline 0900 and option #8 by changing 6 contact list of members of the fellowship phone numbers and option #9 local events and information. I found the district office unlocked and further discovered that both upper and door knob locks are unlined and need repair. Attended the monthly GSR meeting at 6 p.m.

The District 17 Office has _1,100_meeting cards in drawer.

The 0900 AA Hotline had _62_hits this past month.

The District website recorded _119_hits this past month with the counter at 8,908 total hits.

Any member of the fellowship with sobriety can become a contact on the option #8 contact listing for a 3-month period. This listing should periodically be updated, especially for those who are about to take a 3-month turn with their listing on option #8. dcm@district17a74.org

As a regular monthly reminder, must train people (female/male) the operation as coordinator of the 0900 AA Hotline and as webmaster of the district website. Anyone interested in getting involved with being webmaster or coordinator for 0900 AA Hotline please contact a District 17 committee member, or show up at the monthly GSR district meeting the last Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at District 17 Office at Alano Club Iron Mountain.

New Business:

  1. Cliff has mentioned that the door to District office is unlocked because something is not lining up right. It was agreed that the room needs to be locked to prevent the stealing of items including those stored by Intergroup. Repairs made after the meeting.
  2. Matt mentioned that the Iron County Sheriff has asked if AA meeting can be started at the County Jail in Crystal Falls. Matt will follow up.
  3. It was discussed about rumors of the Alano Clubs possible closing and where could the District relocate to? Rent now is $30 rent and $30 internet. Discussion was tabled.

Meeting closed with the Lords Prayer.
