The closing down of CSAS (Community Substance Abuse Services) in Dickinson County and the selling of the building that housed the district office since November 1, 2005 made it apparent in searching for a new location for the district office.
The new location of the district office will be upstairs at the Alano Club once all furnishings are moved by volunteers including the AT&T land line that has the software for the AA 0900 Hotline.
Tuesday, December 11, 2012: Because of district office computer shutdown, the 0900 AA Hotline will be out of service till further notice.
Wednesday, December 12, 2012: A great job installing a door with handle lock and bolt lock was performed by Dennis S at Alano Club upstairs District 17 office. At 12:30 pm the contents of District 17 office (including the Intergroup supplies) in Kingsford was moved to the new location by James, Mark, Brad, Andrew, and Cliff.
Friday, December 14, 2012: Met with Bruce L at the Alano Club who had the new keys to the locks to district office. Met with AT & T service personnel who installed the land line to the 0900 AA Hotline which is back in service.
